I was putting on makeup for an event that we ended up not going to last night, and I realized it's been months since I did a full face of goth. I'm out of practice and I was rushing so the entire look turned out very mediocre. As I was putting on eyeliner and trying to salvage it, I had a really shitty thought.
Oh, I recognize this person again. They weren't good enough for them, what makes you think you're good enough for anyone new?
It really put a damper on my evening, but we still had a good time going to the local bar and gaming afterwards. I realized I've been avoiding some of the things I love because I associate them with who I was before I started trying to be better. It really sucks, but recognition is half the battle.
In other news, I'm very excited to get my new keyboard tomorrow so I can blog on a custom build.
